Causeway Aluminium Project

The project comprises:

Removal of all existing aluminium profile panels to the front, rear and gable walls. The mineral fibre insulation between the aluminium ‘top hat’ structural framing members and timber noggins is to be removed and replaced with new mineral fibre insulation as part of the overall thermal upgrade.

New 50 x 38mm vertical SW timber battens at 400mm centres are to be screw fixed using stainless steel self-tapping fixings to the existing aluminium members to assist with securing the external wall insulation system and to provide a cavity for fixing the new electrical wiring containment, (conduit).

Cement fibre board sheeting, 12mm thick, is to be screw fixed to the face of the timber battens. Grey, (to receive render), EPS board, 60mm thick, is to be mechanically fixed through the cement fibre board sheeting. The EPS board shall be finished with a “self-coloured”, acrylic rendering system.

The complete system shall come complete with a 25-year warranty. This intervention shall improve the thermal efficiency; a U value o
